All of the physical governments of this world will perish. America, China, Russia, all of these..No matter how big or small the territory was or is, one day it will cease to exist. Even the spiritual Kingdom of darkness will one day crumble. So then, what remains?
God's Government is forever established and will rule over all. Many in the Western-world view God's Kingdom like a democracy. It is not. We do not vote Jesus in, and we surely cannot vote Him out. God's Kingdom is a government with one Ruler - King Jesus. What He says and how He says should be the final authority in our lives. How we respond to this deeply affects how we live out our walk with God.
The Bible prophesied many times about this Kingdom government. In Isaiah 9:6, it says "For to us a child is born, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." In Zechariah 14:9 it also says, "The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name." These prophecies point to Jesus's eternal rule and reign and His Kingdom government.
When Jesus came to earth, He brought the spiritual Kingdom of God, but there is also a future physical Kingdom that Jesus and the Old Testament prophets prophesied about as well. This government is yet to come, and will be established at the second coming of Christ when everything is subjected under His feet. The Bible is the supreme constitution and law of this Kingdom government, which is why we must accept the grueling process of changing our mind and our behaviors in order to submit to it. The prayer of salvation was only the beginning. We must shift our thinking to truly accept and embrace the King, His commands, and His ways.
In this topic Paztuh Mike will discuss in great detail the physical and spiritual Kingdom government according to the Scriptures, how to enter, and how to abide under King Jesus' rule. He will shed light on the Word of God and help transform our mindset from earthly government to Kingdom government.
